Conference on Mathematical Biology - SMB 2002 - Registration Info
Note - To encourage attendance no late fees will be assessed for registration until after June 28

Registration for the event is available in 2 formats:

If you are paying by credit card or purchase order, you may register using
the online registration form. If
you are paying by check, money order, or credit card, you may register using the
printable registration form.
In order to be eligible for the Early Registration fees, you must register before June 1, 2002. Early registration fees for the meeting are set as follows:
Regular Members of the Society for Mathematical Biology $250
Student Members of the Society for Mathematical Biology $100
Non-members of the Society for Mathematical Biology (non-students) $300
Non-members of the Society for Mathematical Biology (students) $125
The above fees for non-members include a one-year membership in the Society
for Mathematical Biology as part of the registration costs.
Registration fees after June 28, 2002 are:
Regular Members of the Society for Mathematical Biology $300
Student Members of the Society for Mathematical Biology $150
Non-members of the Society for Mathematical Biology (non-students) $350
Non-members of the Society for Mathematical Biology (students) $175
The above fees for non-members include a one-year membership in the Society
for Mathematical Biology as part of the registration costs.
Exhibitors from commercial enterprises are encouraged to attend. Any
exhibitor must pay a registration fee as above as well as the fee for a covered table (3x6ft) for the time
period of the Conference, which is $300. The Society for Mathematical Biology also
hosts an exhibit for publishers who wish to display their latest
books in the field. Details on having books displayed in this exhibit
may be obtained directly from the organizer, Torcom Chorbajian (SMB Treasurer),

Your registration fee includes the following items:
Registration services
Opening Night Reception/Mixer on Saturday, July 13th. (This will be sufficient as a light dinner).
Daily Continental Breakfast served at the Conference Center.
Daily Morning and Afternoon Coffee Breaks.
Daily Luncheons served at the Conference Center.
Conference Banquet on Monday July 15, held at the Knoxville Hilton.
A Conference commemorative item.
Access to all program related events, including all sessions,
posters, and exhibits.
Conference abstract materials.
Please note any special meal requests on your registration. Note that in order to
encourage attendance throughout the Conference, we will not be offering any
reduced registration fees for those attending less than the full time
period.
You may purchase several additional items if you wish.
Event housing. Campus
housing in residence halls is available for purchase, in addition to the
Conference hotels. Please see the
Event Housing link for more information.
Extra Tickets. If you are bringing family members or guests who will not be participating in the actual event, you have the opportunity to purchase additional tickets for the Banquet on Monday, July 15th. The cost is $25.
Tours. You may purchase a ticket to attend the Museum of Appalachia tour and dinner on Sunday, July 14th. Note that this tour will be scheduled to overlap with a separately-sponsored reception in honor of Tom Hallam, so friends of Tom who wish to attend this reception should not plan to attend the tour.
Cancellation Fees
If you need to cancel your registration, you MUST DO SO IN WRITING.
You may fax a cancellation notice to 865-974-0264, or you mail a notice
to UT Conferences, c/o SMB 2002, PO Box 2648, Knoxville, TN
37901. You may also email
your cancellation request to Conferences@utk.edu
(be sure and put SMB 2002 in the Subject line). If your registration is cancelled before June 1, 2002, you
will receive a full refund less a $20 processing fee. If your registration is cancelled on or after June 1, 2002 and before July 1, 2002,
you will receive a full refund less a $50 processing fee. Any cancellation received after July 1, 2002 will receive no refund.
Substitutions are welcome at any time, and incur no processing fees.
